Time to renew

Why should you wait to fill out your renewal form?
Doing it every year allows the HQ to keep in touch with you, if needed to modify the contact information we have in the database and especially to stay aware of what you are doing for the group or what you want to do in the future.

The renewal is open all year long but in order to update our database to prepare the next directory please click on the following link https://www.irdx.org/renewal-2022/ as soon as possible and especially before the end of the year 2022.

If you have not yet read my message or my messages on one of the IRDX facebook groups and if you have not yet taken the necessary steps to keep your callsign number and be present in the next 2023 directory, I invite you to fill in the online form:
https://www.irdx.org/renewal-2022/

Please don’t wait until the last minute.
You can also send me your information by email at 14ir001@irdx.org.
I need the following information:
First name, Last name.

How to Increase IRDX Member Activity ?

The number of active IRDX members tends to increase when there is a lot of activity on the 11m.

In the last few months I’ve been able to contact many of you, because I’m on the radio every day and I’ve finally been able to install a better antenna than the vertical one I had in place for 2 years, which is great and I realise that if IRDX members are more active on the air they also need to be more active on the internet.

The first and best way is to be registered on a cluster, there are several (11DXClusterdxCRXdx27lf11) as the IRDX callsign is your main callsign, the best thing is to register with this one, but that’s not enough, you have to share with other users by sending spots.

The contacts you make, the frequency you are on, all this allows others to identify you easily and therefore allows you to make many radio contacts.

Another way is to have a Facebook account and a Facebook page (This link allows you to see my personal page).

I invite you to create your own and share as many images, sound, videos as possible for your favourite activity which is to make contacts with the whole world.

Facebook is not perfect, but it is a social network that is perfect for promoting radio activities, it is possible to share photos, videos, text, sound either on your wall or directly on your page.

As far as messaging is concerned, two are above the others, Whatsapp and Telegram and the international Radio DX Group is present on these two applications, if you wish to join one or the other of the groups set up, do not hesitate to contact me by email : 14ir001@irdx.org

Review International Radio DX fieldday 2022 – Germany

After some years of absence, the German IR-DX crew decided to organize a fieldday meeting again.

First visitors
The first fieldday visitors from the Netherlands (19IR04 Rob and his wife) and Switzerland (15IR076 Chris and his wife), did arrive as one of the first on friday afternoon.
Meanwhile the crew was busy with cleaning and building up the side and got some help from the visitors, to get ready for the main fieldday on saturday.

IR and non-IR members
Several (non) members from the area, showed up on fridayevening, to say hello and took a few drinks.
Under great weather conditions with a clear blue sky and very sunny weather, the fieldday started on saturdaymorning.
More members, including non-members, showed up and we had a lot of nice eyeball QSO contacts.

It was really nice to meet several old friends, who did not see eachother for over 10-20-30 years.

Some “Young Ladies” from the IR-DX group had made some nice cake at home and did share it during the fieldday. At the late saturday afternoon, we had a nice BBQ with several nice salads.
The eyeball QSO contacts, did continue until the end of the evening. On sunday, the fieldday was being faced out, little by little and at the end of the afternoon, it was really ended.

Fieldday – 11 WW Contest
As we know that the 11 WorldWide contest was running, we decided to use 13IR/HQ as our callsign, instead of 13IR000.
We knew, that we did not announce it in advance, but we did not make a serious plan to be active many hours.
So far, 79 radio contacts could be made, mainly inside Europe, but also with continents Africa and South-America.

Thank you
We would like to thank all people involved with the fieldday organization and all participants to make this event a success after some years again.
Unfortunately one of the organizers was in quarantaine, so unfortunately he and his wife were not able to join us.
