We are pleased to inform you that from 05/04/2022 The maritime lighthouse located above the fortress Fortaleza General Artigas, in the district of Villa del Cerro in Montevideo, Uruguay will be activated from time to time until the end of the year 2025 the assigned call sign is 12IR/URU009.

Sad news for 11 meter community

Information received us, that the founder of the Alfa Tango DX Group, 1AT001 Aldo, passed away after staying a while in the hospital.

Several members of IR-DX Group, were member of the Alfa Tango in the past and have known Aldo.

On behalf of the entire IR-DX Group, we like to express our deepest condoleances to the family, relatives and friends and wish them all strength with processing this great loss.

4 Lighthouses Activated, 1 Every Sunday.
Berry Head, Teignmouth, Start Point, Brixham Harbour Lighthouses.
Callsigns & Dates:
5th May 2019, Berry Head – 26IR/ENG 007 
12th May 2019, Teignmouth – 26IR/ENG 153
19th May 2019, Start Point – 26IR/ENG 148
26th May 2019, Brixham – 26IR/ENG 016
(Should propagation be a problem, these dates could change or be repeated later in June, post will be updated appropriately)
1st prize – Silver Plated Engraved Lighthouse Spoon For The First Operator To Work All 4 Lighthouses, you must live outside of Devon of course!!!
2nd Prize – 2nd Operator To Work All 4 Lighthouses – 2 x South Point Lighthouse, Barbados coins, 1979 and 2010.
3rd Prize – 3rd Operator To Work All 4 Lighthouses – Lighthouse Keyring.

2019 is almost knocking at the door, it means, our 25th anniversary is coming soon !

On March the 13th 2019, our beloved International Radio DX Group will celebrate it’s 25th birthday … 25 years on the DX scene, 25 years of friendship, meetings, activities. 25 years of love for 11 meters band.

For this event, we need ALL IR members to help, to be active, to promote the group …  More information to come …

IR Island Festival 2018 / Flora and Fauna Green Party 2018

This is to remind you of two radio events, you can take part in:

  1.  Green Party 2018 : World Wide Flora Fauna activations, from May 1st 2018 to August 31st 2018. Several IR members or IR teams are taking part to this event, and it’s not too late to register ! See links below.
     
  2. Island Festival 2018 : IOTA, IOTA n/v and IWI activations. This event is now a major event on 11mtrs and it has been organised for many years. IR members will take part, as usual, and you still can join the Festival, which will take place 2 and 3 June 2018. See links below.

Je souhaitais vous rappeler que vous pouvez prendre part à deux événements radio intéressants :

  1. Green Party 2018: activations de références WFF (Flora Fauna). Les activations sont possibles du 1er mai au 31 aout, mais il n’est pas trop tard pour participer. Nous avons déjà plusieurs membres qui vont activer des références, mais n’hésitez pas à nous rejoindre, surtout qu’il y a des références un peu partout ! Voir les liens ci-dessous.
     
  2. Island Festival 2018: activations d’îles (IWI, IOTA, IOTA n/v). Tout le monde connaît cet événement qui a déjà lieu depuis des années et rencontre toujours un grand succès. Là aussi, nous avons déjà des membres qui vont activer des îles, mais plus on est de fous, plus on rit, donc n’hésitez pas à participer ! Il est encore temps. Là aussi, des îles, il y en a un peu partout. Voir liens ci-dessous.
